In January 2011, as part of a corporate restructuring, the design and production of all DC Comics’ and Vertigo Comics’ Ad and Marketing materials would no longer be done in-house. Instead these materials were to be produced through an outside agency. Mark Chiarello, VP Art Direction & Design at DC, recommended contacting Brainchild Studios and shortly after Matt Keller, DC’s Marketing Director, and Josh Beatman met to discuss the scope of work and its transfer over to Brainchild Studios. Within a month a seamless transition had taken place. Over the past 4 years the materials produced have been extensive, including all print & web ad campaigns, promotional materials, convention materials, posters, catalogs and much more.
