In May of 2005, DC Comics announced their new corporate mark on the front page of The New York Times Business section. After 28 years, the “DC Bullet” had been replaced with an all-new logotype designed by Brainchild Studios, eventually referred to as the DC “Spin". This exciting new mark was a reflection of DC’s expansion from comic publisher into larger entertainment forums. The “Spin" echoed the company’s new momentum forward, while still acknowledging DC’s rich history and the mark’s visual legacy.
